UNCONSCIOUS
Exploration 1
Unconscious is an exploration into creating forms and designs while actively trying not to think about them. When creating this model, I tried to be distracted while modeling it, to avoid thinking and influencing the form. The output of this was a matchstick structure that looks a little like pavilion. Once completed the model was used to delve into the ideas of light and shadow transitioning through time through a series of photos under changing light conditions.
Exploration 2
The second item I created under the unconscious is a wired moving sculpture that was modeled as a rough visual amalgamation of a finger interacting with a screen. The form of this item is mainly looking at the movement of a finger and the range of motion it takes to interact with a screen, this model was also used to explore light and shadow in the same way as the matchstick structure.
