HAND GESTURE

Hand Gesture is a piece that helps to highlight the unique hand and finger movements that occur when interacting with a digital world, the ‘zoom’ function of pinching two fingers together. This piece from crafted from a silicone mould ‘pinkysil’ wrapped around the thumb and index finger. Once the mould was filled plaster was poured into the negative to make the piece complete. Hand Gesture explores the idea of common gestures used when interacting, accessing and searching a digital world.
